Program Coordinator - Multicultural Affairs (213PV3851)

The University of Cincinnati Blue Ash College invites applications for a Program Coordinator/Coordinator of Multicultural Affairs position. UC Blue Ash College is the largest regional college in Ohio, located in Blue Ash, Ohio with an enrollment of approximately 6100 students. The Coordinator of Multicultural Affairs is central to creating and promoting a welcoming campus climate at the University of Cincinnati Blue Ash College. Reporting to the Director of Student Life, the Coordinator of Multicultural Affairs is responsible for educational outreach and programmatic initiatives that serve to both support students from underrepresented populations and enhance awareness of diversity related issues. Responsibilities include assisting with recruitment of underrepresented students, implementing and managing programs, events and services that include but are not limited to heritage theme month programs, academic/personal development events and the development of a underrepresented student mentoring program. The Coordinator of Multicultural Affairs will also support and participate in the programs and initiatives of other Student Life functional areas.  

Job Description: Under general supervision from a designated administrator, plan, design, evaluate, modify and coordinate programs for a department or college.  

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree with 1 year experience; OR associate degree with 3 years experience; OR 5 years experience. Experience must be in program coordination.  

The ideal candidate will have a Master's Degree in College Student Personnel, Higher Education, Student Affairs or a related/similar field. Other ideal qualifications are: Demonstrated experience working with ethnically and culturally diverse students or populations preferably in a college or university setting; demonstrated program/event planning and management experience; culturally competent with an appreciation of diversity and inclusion; a collaborative and team building approach; comfortable with the use of technology including Microsoft Office applications and social media.
