Pay Information
The salary range for this Assistant Professor level position is $4,592 – $6,188 per month. Note that all new faculty hired by the SDCCD start at the Assistant Professor level. Overload assignments are paid at an hourly rate above this amount. Salary placement is based solely upon education and experience as outlined in the AFT handbook, and it is non-negotiable. Annual Salaries will be recalculated for service less than a full academic year based on Education Code §87815, any adjustment will be made on the first pay period. Assistant Professors may earn tenure after 4 years and promote to Associate Professor.

The Position
Applications are now being accepted for the position of Clinical Coordinator, Radiologic Technology at San Diego Mesa College beginning Fall 2013. Mesa College is located in the Clairemont area of San Diego and is one of three colleges in the San Diego Community College District. The Clinical Coordinator is responsible for the correlation of didactic and clinical education, evaluation of students at multiple clinical affiliates and campus instruction in compliance with the JRCERT standards and CDPH-RHB regulations. The Clinical Coordinator works with the Program Director in continued program development and assessment This is a 40-hour per week, Monday through Friday, assignment

Major Responsibilities
Teaching; student assessment; clinical development and student placement; curriculum development; and other instructional duties required of contract faculty.

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Applicants must show evidence of meeting the following minimum qualifications:

• Possession of a Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited institution AND two (2) years of professional experience in general Radiologic Technology; AND,

• Certification as a Registered Radiologic Technologist (ARRT); AND,

• CA Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRT); AND,

• CA Fluoroscopy Permit upon application to position or within 6 months of employment.

Desired Qualifications
• One year of experience as an instructor in a JRCERT-accredited program.

• ARRT post-primary certifications in ANY of the following: Computed Tomography, Magnetic Resonance Imaging, Mammography, Cardiac Interventional, Vascular Interventional or Quality Management.

Conditions of Employment:
SELECTED CANDIDATE IS REQUIRED TO COMPLETE THE FOLLOWING PRIOR TO EMPLOYMENT:

• Submit ARRT and CRT certification identification numbers

• Submit a copy of your ARRT and CRT certifications

• Submit “official” transcripts

• Pass a pre-employment physical exam at the candidate’s expense

• Provide a Certificate of Tuberculosis Exam for initial appointment (Note: The certificate must be renewed every 4 years as a condition of continuing employment)

• Have fingerprints taken by a Live Scan computer at the candidate’s expense (Clearance must be received prior to first day of employment)

• Present original documents for proof of eligibility to work in the United States

• Attend a new hire processing appointment in Human Resources located at the District Administrative Offices
