Mid Point Salary Range: $12.50/hour

Position Type: Non-Exempt Staff

Position Summary:
Provides varied office administrative assistance to department supervisor and associated staff.

Job Duties:

Greets and directs (when necessary) evening students; provides information and resources to students. Closes and secures the building at the end of the day/evening. Reports any issues to Administrative Assistant, Facility Manager or COM Police, as necessary. Performs clerical duties such as filing, copying, scanning, typing documents from notes, brief instructions or printed materials in various computer programs. Oversees the logistics for meetings or classes for the Gulf Coast Safety Institute when classes are held in the evening. Performs other duties of a similar nature or level.



Minimum Education/Training/Experience:
Equivalent to graduation from high school AND two (2) years of general clerical or office support experience; or, an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job.

Minimum Knowledge and Skills:
Microsoft Office software specifically Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint; Performing technical, specialized, complex, difficult or basic technical office support work; Operating standard office equipment; reading and explaining rules, policies and procedures; Organizing own work, setting priorities and meeting critical deadlines; Communication, interpersonal skills as applied to interaction with coworkers, supervisor, the general public, etc. sufficient to exchange or convey information and to receive work direction.
