Position Summary:
Under the direction of the Child Care Director, the child caregiver provides nurturing care and educational experiences in quality child care setting.

Job Duties:

Observe and monitor childrens play activities
Provide relief supervision for children as assigned.
Provide relief care of children: changing diapers, hygiene (washing hands, teeth, etc.), and feeding
Ensure a safe environment for children
Perform facility support activities such as washing and sanitizing beddings, collecting toys, repairing broken toys, setup tables, etc.



Minimum Education/Training/Experience:
Must be 18 years of age, have a high school diploma or equivalent Six months experience in child care or educational setting

Preferred Education/Training/Experience:
Child Development Associate credential or higher One year experience in child care or educational setting

Minimum Knowledge and Skills:
Patient and compassionate
Willing to learn methods and techniques of caring for and nurturing children;
Performing housekeeping and light custodial duties;
Get along with others and work in team environment
Communication skills to interact with children and staff



Preferred Knowledge and Skills:
Pediatric CPR and First Aid certified
