Position Summary
The Study-Abroad Student Assistant assists the Study-Abroad Coordinator in the day-to-day duties.
This is a student position open to current UIW students.
Essential Functions
Essential functions include:
- Informing interested students of the steps to study abroad;
- Following-up with students who are in-process or committed to studying abroad;
- Assisting with promotional activities, including online advertising, print media, and on-campus events;
-Performing other duties as assigned

- Willingness to help students;
- Written and verbal communication skills;
- Organization and planning skills;
- Comfortability using software and virtual platforms;
- Comfortability speaking about courses and degree plans;
-Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse communities and cultures;
-Employee shall adhere to all applicable rules and regulations of the University, the Conference, and the NCAA.
Required Education
Current UIW student
Required Work Experience
Preferred Qualifications
-Students who have previously lived abroad;
-Bilingual;
- Experience working with students at any capacity
Required Certifications, Licenses or Registrations
Work Hours
- Monday Friday (8:00 a.m. 5:00 p.m.)
- Some weekends
Physical Demands
-Ability to lift up to 10 lbs (fliers and other materials).
