The Technical Director (TD), under the leadership of the Theatre Program Coordinator, and in collaboration with the production team, is responsible for maintaining and overseeing the scene shop, lighting and sound crews, technical equipment, ordering building materials, supervising load-ins/strikes, and ensuring the safety of everyone working on productions. The TD is integral to the realization of all scenic, lighting, sound, and costume elements for the Fall 2024 Theatre Program production. The TD is responsible for scheduling/leading student crews and for shared oversight of tech rehearsals/performances with the production Director. The TD will train and supervise students in the use of theatrical tools/equipment and cultivate the creative vision of a collaborative design team.

Production Period: September 23-November 17, 2024
Technical Rehearsal: November 7th and 13th, 2024
Performance: 1 pm and 6 pm on November 14th, 2024

Job Requirements:

A theater professional with a BA/BFA in theatre with a focus of technical theatre.
Strong communication skills.
Strong time management skills.
Experience working with diverse populations. Experience working with students is a plus.

Additional Information:

Hourly Rate: $32.64/hr. @ 11-14 hr./week (maximum 100 hrs.) depending on the work progress and needs
